St Kilda Romp

The St Kilda Romp is a 2 hour treasure hunt around the funky St Kilda precinct that is part amazing race, part pub trek. After a brief introduction each team is given a checkpoint sheet and a map. Teams decide in which order they complete each checkpoint. Our double-phased opening task will help you get to know your team and rev up even the most placid of competitors, then its game on! A range of varied tasks and wacky challenges await as you navigate your way through St Kilda to different checkpoints. Some of the area's most loved bars become checkpoints where teams will solve puzzles and collect clues.  We introduce the elements of sabotage and luck as teams laugh their way to ultimate supremacy.  Once all clues have been collected we will reveal your final destination. Team with the best time after all deductions takes the glory! Will it be you?

  • When: We run open St Kilda Romps every couple of months. Future dates to be announced.
  • Duration: Please allow 3 hours.
  • Price: $55 per person (incl GST)
  • Team Size: The maximum team size is 7 people. Teams of 3 or less will be teamed up with another small group. If you are booking for 8 or more people we will create 2 teams of 4. 
  • Meeting Location: We will meet teams in the middle of Alfred Square off The Esplanade in front of the Novotel St Kilda. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the start so we can complete registration and get the game underway on time.
  • Parking: We strongly advise people participating in the St Kilda Romp not to drive as the event may include alcohol.
  • In the event of rain: Unless notified you should assume your race is on as we operate rain or shine. No refunds will be given to no-shows.
  • What you need to bring:
    • Comfortable walking Shoes – Suitable for Romp and bars
    • A Brolly – For predicted precipitation
    • Money – For drink purchases not provided by Great Race
    • Mobile Phone – Each team will be required to carry at least one mobile phone
    • Camera – For photo tasks. Camera phones are fine.
    • Theme – Feel free to come dressed in theme
